Afternoon Tea with the Lady Mayoress

January: Tuesday 14th                      1.45 to 4.00pm

The Lady Mayoress. Mrs.Edna Murray, an ex student of Leeds University, has invited members to afternoon tea in the Ark Royal Room in the Civic Hall. There will be a tour of the Civic Rooms and the Council Chamber.

We will be presenting the Lady Mayoress with our contribution to The Lord Mayor's Charity Appeal:

 Departmental Visit

February: Tuesday 11th.                    2.00 to 4pm

 A visit to the Archives Department of the university, where members will be able to look at some fascinating records, some involving the Ladies' Club.

Afternoon Talk

  March: Wednesday 12th              2pm for 2.30pm     Devonshire Hall, Cumberland Road

This will be a year of cycling and the Tour de France visit to Yorkshire. Come and relive memories of Summer 2012, as Mrs. Carol Armistead, the mother of Olympic cycling silver medal winner Lizzie Armitstead, describes:

 "A mum's perspective on an Olympic journey."

Lizzie became the first Briton to win a medal at the 2012 Olympics!

Spring Buffet

April: Friday 28th  7pm for 7.45pm at Great Woodhouse Suite,University House.

Book early for the Spring Buffet, which is £25 per person and join us for our annual evening of excellent food.

Members are allowed to bring a guest.

Castaway to Music

April: Tuesday 8th                    2.00 to 4pm

Fenton Room, Devonshire Hall, Cumberland Road

This year's castaway to be interviewed by Mrs. Gillie Andrews will be Mrs. Militza Srivastava, who will share her memories and music.
